Look whos talking

Oh my!
Look what I discovered in the bathtub...new friends...yay!
Mum tells me their names are Daisy and Easel and Im not allowed to eat them.
Friends not Food. Friends not Food. Friends not Food. Ok.
I cant wait till they are big enough to come and play with me outside, I can show them the garden and they can stand on my back and we can go for walks and oooooo we are going to such great mates! xx Maj

Come inside where its bright

I must say a black dog against a colourful backdrop, like the curtain in my kitchen, does make for a pretty picture.
Major would be inside 24/7 if the husband allowed it, yes, I have to shoo him out the door when I hear the bumpy truck coming up the road:)

bonus pretzel deciding shot

Walking not jumping

Walking not jumping...Maj (M AGE) loves the trampoline. The little people have to quickly zip the safety net up before he elegantly climbs in behind them. No, he doesn't jump as such but it is quite a ridonkulous sight, to see a great dane on a jumperleene nevertheless!
I will get a photo I promise. However the following images are on leaving for a lovely jaunt to the local park. Must say there were no after photos- I didn't think a sweaty Mumma, covered in mud, crying baby girl and one tongue dragging very Very VERY EXCITED hound were really Internet quality shots!
Our boy is sitting obligingly at the gutter (nice word-means kerb) side and walking safely across roads. The baby girl looks on, eyes wide, surely thinking to herself "one day I'm gonna ride that pony!" xx

New Best Friend

Major is growing on all of us.
Major has our family falling in love again. Its such a nice feeling to be rewarded with all this adoration, for what we feel is very little effort. We didn't raise him and we have only been caring for him for such a short time, but he has found hes niche and has become the 8th member of our family with ease.
I wouldn't go as far as saying Maj is an angel (I wont mention his secret shoe fetish) but damn he comes close. Hes well trained, without us having to do any training, hes polite, we don't have to scold him, hes affectionate and just knows his place.
The husband almost half his thumb off last night chopping up the beef fat to mix in with Maj's dinner and who had the most sympathy for him? Not me (well I have had 4 babies, yeooouch!) but our new boy. I know he comforted the husband and helped him by kissing him all over the face. New Best Friend for sure. My great dane is in love with him? Perhaps. xx

Welcome home Major

WELCOME MAJOR

He made it home safely and is settling in nicely.

Pede is getting her head around having a new brother from another mother and the chickens now realise they are not ruling the roost after the husband laid two of them to rest yesterday afternoon (R.I.P Shina & Lady Zen)

Claw and Avi (the bunnies) are happy tobe friends with our new big boy and most importantly Major love the kidlets to bits.

After a visit to the creek , we have noticed Maj is a swimmer...woo hoo!

you may notice he is rather lean and we are doing our best to get the muscle on him and a little fat, otherwise incredibly healthy.

We will let him enjoy the scenery and get his bearing and then Ill try my hardest to tap into the awsome sarcastic voice I beleive all danes have. Yay!

Thanks Paul & Jessica for allowing us to have Major. Hes a gentleman. He spent last night sleeping on the floor of our living room while we watched a dvd. What a sweetie he is x
