Baby Brutus
Brutus Oh my marvellous little friend, I am sorry for the week that I have bestowed upon you my buddy.
You have been such a good sport.
I hope you will accept this apology and move on to greener pastures with the knowledge that if there were a degree in babysitting, you would have your Masters little guy!
Just a quick glimpse of our week together, more photos to follow. I hope your Mum is not too horrified!

In my next life
I will not be a mother with 4 little people.
I will stay a male thank you very much.
The things I have witnessed this week have been DIS-GUS-TING!
So the past week has been hugely busy and my responsibilities as Mum's right hand guy have really been taken to a new level.
Babysitting.
There, I said it.
And you know what? I Don't feel emasculated. Not one bit. I feel tired and overworked, but no less the great big hunk of man(dog) that I am.
So Mum goes away for a week and leaves me in charge of baby Cookie. Remember her? So lets just say Dad's not around either (humour me people) and Primary Care giver duty is left in my (not so)capable paws.
Before I even entertain the idea that PANIC should set in, I do what any responsible babysitter would do...call for backup!
Welcome my buddy BRUTUS!
Welcome to a week of caring for a poop machine.
xxx So much more, and photos galore to follow...

Much needed comfort
If Major were a medicine,
I'd buy share in the company.
My Great Dane is a healer. Not in a hippy dippy kinda way. This boy has helped to ease the hurt of loosing a friend. He's made me laugh when I felt laughing was impossible and he continues to keep me smiling through painful memories.
Of course my children are great healers too. Now the eldest can say the right thing and comfort me with a hug but Maj is they only one who doesn't need me to explain myself. He is happy to stay by my side, and leech along wherever I am going.
Soon a year will have passed since I lost Braise to kidney disease.
My little family and I are preparing his flower garden ready for the day.
I wonder if my boys ever met how they would have got along...
