We were not invited

So this is what Rocksta saw.
With scone crumbs falling from his jowls he relayed a vision of my little people, Aunty Jadie, tiny tea cups, scones with jam and cream and no space for me:(
At least Cookie wanted to share....

Unanimous Decision, let's send him in

Our informer, Rocksta returned. Looking determined to retell the situation just as he saw it....
"Sit down Maj, I don't know how to tell you this, but...."

The Consultation with the Elder

The Discussion....with my Cuzzin

Stealth Operation

The lights were dimmed.
We didn't have much time.
Something was going on.
Lucky my partner in crime was here to help me devise a plan....
Stay tuned.

Most Expensive dog ever sold

In early 2009, a Florida couple became the proud owners of Lancelot Encore, the world’s first commercially cloned puppy and one of the most expensive dogs in the world.

The Labrador retriever was cloned from samples thoughtfully taken by the couple five years ago from their beloved pet Lancelot. The cloned puppy looks just like his predecessor and the couple hopes that, being around the same people and many of the same dogs, Lancelot Encore will be every bit the alpha male that the original Lancelot was.

The couple won the chance to have their pet cloned in an auction held last July by BioArts, a California-based firm that employed Korea’s Sooam Biotech Research Foundation to recreate their darling dog. The hammer price of the pricey pooch was $155,000. That’s $100,000 more than was last paid for a commercially cloned animal, a bull named Second Chance.

A black Tibetan Mastiff

Later that year, however, Lancelot Encore’s price was dwarfed by the sale of a black Tibetan Mastiff named Yangtze River Number 2. Yangtze’s new owner, a Chinese millionaire identified only as Ms. Wang, met the pup while visiting Yushu in China’s Qinghai province with a Tibetan Mastiff she wished to breed with one of the region’s storied pureblood canines. As soon as she met the dog, then known as White Root, she knew she had to have him. Ultimately, she ended up paying $582,000 for the most expensive dog in the world.

Upon his arrival at an airport in Xi’an, Yangtze was greeted by a motorcade of thirty luxury cars and a crowd of spectators.
Seriously, what a load of shit.

Get real people. When you lose your best friend to the Rainbow Bridge, let them go.
Yes, youre heart will be broken. But head to a shelter, find a rescue dog, save a life,
 give love another chance.
If Mum did'nt rescue me, I don't know where I would have ended up. One day I'll share my adoption story
but the memories are still a little raw....I'm happy where I am.

When my Mum sings this to me, my eyes well up with tears, cause what we've got is SOLID....

"Say you don't need no diamond ring and I'll be satisfied

Tell me that you want the kind of thing that money just can't buy

I don't care too much for money, money can't buy me love"
Thanks Beatles.

Mum says she appreciates every day she has with me. That I was meant to be, right here with her, right now.
She told me that the anniversary of the death  her first son Braise is coming up soon, bit heavy, I know, but it helps me to understand why shes so fricken obsessed with me.
Lucky it goes both ways.
Theres nowhere I'd rather be Mumzy.
But right here, right now.
With You.

Best Friends with the Elderly

Who is your Best Friend?
Mine is a glamourous older woman (don't tell her I told you she is 94 and a half), a female of stature and grace.
She sounds delightful doesn't she? Here's where it get a little creepy  interesting.
We sleep in the same bed.
Remembering I am a 14 year old male.
Hmmmm.
Sometimes I wonder why I have to 'go there'. Well, I can't help myself.
I repeat, I am a 14 year old boy.

If you want someone who will eat whatever you put in front of him and never say it’s not quite as good as his mother's

........then adopt a dog.

If you want someone always willing to go out, at any hour, for as long and wherever you want ...

......then adopt a dog.

If you want someone who will never touch the remote, doesn't care about football, and can sit next to you as you watch romantic movies

.......then adopt a dog.

If you want someone who is content to get on your bed just to warm your feet and whom you can push off if he snores

......then adopt a dog !

If you want someone who never criticizes what you do, doesn't care if you are pretty or ugly, fat or thin, young or old, who acts as if every word you say is especially worthy of listening to, and loves you unconditionally, perpetually ..

.......then adopt a dog.

BUT, on the other hand, if you want someone who will never come when you call, ignores you totally when you come home, leaves hair all over the place, walks all over you, runs around all night and only comes home to eat and sleep, and acts as if your entire existence is solely to ensure his happiness

......then adopt a cat!

(Now be honest, you thought I was gonna say... marry a man, didn't you? )

The uprising of the Phoenix

Phoenix 208453

She is 17 months old, like long walks on the beach and is partial to kids, adults, the elderly, the postman, she just likes everyone. And with such pretty eyes, how could you not like Phoenix?

Her profile also states that she is not afraid of fireworks. I know what this means...shes a party girl, bring on the noise, the commotion, everybody do the Locomotion!

Wow.

I want her for myself.

If anyone is from South East Queensland Australia or you know someone who is...direct them to http://awlqld.com.au/ The Animal Welfare League in Coomabah.

There, Phoenix is waiting to meet you.

Good Luck Fee!

Love Major xx

Boys and their toys

I sniffed this guy out in my Pudding's bedroom...amongst the sea of pink and My Little Ponies I think this is a most tasteful plushie...
Stylish tasteful, not rip your face off tasteful, of course.

Sleep in Saturday

I can't believe that majority of my house is still asleep.
I've just woken up quickly to say goodbye to Mum who is off to WORK and write a quick update on life, I guess.
Since Tuesday, quite a bit has been going on in Bakery Land (Cookie, Cheesecake, Pudding, erm...Mudpie) yes, thought you'd like that:)
Bakery land has been a flurry of excitement, squeals, tiaras and tantrums, chaos and pain, more squeals, too many squeals for me, I have quite the aversion to high pitched noises, next holiday I Will be investing in some ear muffs for sure.
First up, my tallest and most clever Cheesecake is doing so well she left me yesterday along with her sisters to have a morning out with Aunty Tazz...I overheard the little people talking about all the toys they won at the arcade and I'm still waiting for mine....I love plushies! I love to rip their faces off and bolt up and down the yard and around the house at lighting speed zooming past everything so fast, SO FAST....think I'm awake now.
Did I mention shes doing great? Photos to come, Mum will be home at lunch time today to get snap happy shots of me and my little people.
You know what else happened? I pulled RANK...I cant really explain the logistics of this statement right now, but after my family wakes up and notices that a certain someone who I better not mention because Mum only just found out and a certain Cheesy some one should learn about this news/fate of a certain small fluffy someone escaping and disappearing by herself. Hmmm. Enough said. For now. O Oh. Hearts are going to be broken.
We are all going to relax today. Dad said all the little people will be sleeping in and granted the weather, rain (not clearing) I'm pushing for a day of dvds and monopoly...I want to be the dog!

So thats what a cookie sounds like!

On the verge of exhaustion

Ive been sick. Ive been tired. Cause Ive been sick.

I'm sorry Ive missed out on so much lately, play dates, parties, family reunions and generally sharing the love between my friends and fan club.

Its not that I need REHAB, however, just a little time to myself would be nice. Even a small closet (or a big closet) where I can close the door behind me (hard to do with paws I must admit) and take some time out to ...Oh I dunno like maybe grasp my knees and rock back and forth perhaps, whilst humming the Serenity Prayer http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Serenity_Prayer and clamping my eyes shut as tightly as I can and clicking the heels of my Ruby slippers together three times?

Hmmmm.

Maybe I'm over dramatising.

I just feel like there are too many people in my face all over the place invading my personal SPACE! (Yo)

I guess I should have listened to Mum when she gave that pep talk last week. It went a little something like this.

Mum: " Now Major, the next 16 days all the children will be home from school every day to play with you and keep you company and you are gong to have so much fun. So be sure to rest up and reserve some energy ok?"

Major: "I'm sorry, let me just clarify that with you, you did say every day right Mother?"

Mum: " Yes Major, that's right, be on you re best behaviour please, treat all the kids equally and don't just favour Cookie because they will know then that you have a favourite and that's not very nice. Good Boy. Oh and Major, please don't call me Mother it make me feel like an old lady. I love you. Good Boy."

Major: "Mummmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmy!"

Friday 2 July 2010

Dear Cheesecake,

This for you, all in pink, just the way you like it.

My wish for you is here.

Please make a swift recovery and come back to playing with me soon.

I'm going to miss you tomorrow so remember that I will be thinking of you all day and watching the cars go by waiting for you to come home.

I'm sure Mum and Dad and Cookie will be with you and holding your hand all day long and if the hospital allowed canine visitors, well, Id be there with bells on.

Don't forget you are beautiful just the way you are,

See you when you get home.

Lots of furry hugs,

Major xx
Note from Mum: Our eldest daughter Cheesecake (not her real name of course folks *shhesh!*) was born with a uni lateral cleft lip and palate. She has endured many surgeries which began at age 3 months old. Now aged almost 8 she will be heading to hospital for more work on her lip only. The doctors at The Royal Brisbane Children's Hospitalhttp://www.workingwonders.com.au/ are some of the best cosmetic surgeons in the Australia and our Cheesecake is a real trooper and we think she secretly enjoys the fussing over her (who can blame her being one of four girls). We will take 10 month old Cookie with us also (yes Maj is devastated) and our two middle girls(Mudpie & Pudding) will have some quality Painting Nanee time.
